Abstract
Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA), the most active, and largest Chinese American librarians association in the United States and beyond, provides many benefits to its members. However, not all members are aware of all the details about these member benefits. In this poster, the membership committee will share information about CALA’s current chapters and membership composition, as well as opportunities you have as a CALA member, including awards, grants and scholarships, service opportunities, and opportunities to network with librarians and other information professionals. This poster will also discuss some benefits from other organizations’ programs and activities members are entitled through their CALA membership. Finally, we will share testimonies from members on how they feel about CALA and how they get the most use of their CALA membership. This poster will help CALA demonstrate its value and attract more librarians and other information professionals to join CALA.
