With innovative uses of technologies and development, especially internet using to deliver and share information in both public and academic institutions, libraries are facing to migrate from print repositories to information service centers, and access to digital resources. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library, a joint public-academic library between San José State University and San José Public Library, delivers services to both public patrons and university students and faculty members, and conducts transformational change in delivering electronic information resources. This paper represents while facing to the transformation changes in the Bid Data era, the library values digitizing the library print repositories, and offering electronic and/or open access resources to meet patrons' information needs. In addition, the author analyzes the benefit of using electronic resource to promote public services and academic success in public services innovations, information resources delivery, and historical collections and for humanities, arts, anthropology, and local history, etc.
